Sorare is a digital collectible soccer trading card game where you can manage your team and earn prizes. There are currently 99 officially licensed clubs and counting. Big clubs such as Juventus, Athletico Madrid and Napoli are all part of this.
Every card is a digital collectible with a limited quantity. Cards can be freely traded on the Sorare marketplace.
Where to start?
Head over to Sorare’s website and sign up there. You can use a google account to sign up or create a new account. Once you have set up your account, you can claim 10 free players cards. You will have the option for beginner or advanced drafting of your team.
If you choose to select your team, you will be brought to your team page where you can pick players to fill for each position. Also, there is an auto pick option to fill your team within the budget of 400m.
Once you have selected your 10 cards and confirmed them, you can start competing with other players.
In order to participate in competitions, players have to verify their phone number as well. An SMS with a 4 digit code will be sent to your phone number where you can type in-game to access competitions.
Once you have verified your phone number, you will be able to compose a team.
After you are done, hit confirm and your team will be registered for the competition.
Cards can be bought on the Sorare marketplace using Ethereum. You can connect your Ethereum wallet such as Metamask or create a new wallet.

For new players, the free 10 common cards you got allows you to enter into Rookie League. From there you can start winning more common and rare cards to build your team. Entry is absolutely free and the rare cards you win can be sold on the marketplace.
The Rookie League is available 8 game weeks and after this, the league is removed. You will then have to compete in the proper leagues where it gets way tougher.
Sorare is based on the real life performances of the players so for a soccer fanatic this might be the game for you. For those who have had a go at FIFA manager or games like that, you might enjoy playing Sorare.
You can also earn cards and Ethereum in competitions so your soccer knowledge can pay off. The game is free to play and players can try to earn as many cards as they can during the Rookie League. It is advisable to go through all 8 weeks of the Rookie League and see if you manage to earn any cards.
