Splinterlands conquered the top spot with 312K users. Rounding out the top five are Alien Worlds (190K), Axie Infinity (97K), and Upland (63K).
The blockchain gaming space released some interesting announcements today. Foremost, Syn City has postponed its IDOs and Copper Launch. Meanwhile, Warena released its timeline for January 2022. The top blockchain gaming news for today include:
1 – Sunflower Farmers Enters Maintenance Mode
Sunflower Farmers announced that the game was going into maintenance mode. The developers took this action due to some malicious actors who were abusing the crafting system. Moreover, the abuse led to people having trouble playing the game.
The game initially locked crafting and took a snapshot to record players’ current resources. Later, the developers decided to shut the game down in order to make some much-needed upgrades. Furthermore, the game will implement more efficient gas prices, anti-botting mechanisms, additional gameplay, and secure smart contracts. Also, the developers note that all NFTs and tokens belonging to players will be imported into the new version of the game.
The team has made the tough decision to put the game into maintenance mode.
This is to add anti-botting mechanisms, optimise gas prices, increase security and add new gameplay features.
